Why? Why my Marie?” He whispered on his dying breath.

My Savior

My name is Belladonna, Bella for short. I was held at gunpoint by my dark prince's sworn enemy. The vampire hunter held the gun at my head, his finger at the trigger. He waited for his prey to fell into his trap. I have texted Acheron, my vampire boyfriend, and told him not to come for me and that my capture was a trap. But he will come, as much as I beg him not too, Acheron doesn't back down. He always comes, like he did in our other life. At the ball.

It was medieval time. The king wanted his only son to marry before death overcame him of old age. A simple Cinderella story. I was a young women, about twenty years old, five years older than I am know, and I lived alone after my parent's murders. I wen to the ball, because my parents have wished it, they were friends of the king. I sat at one of the corners tables with other women around my age. My friends danced with the men they met. Soon the table emptied and I was alone. Cheers was heard all over the ball room. The prince was walking into the center of the ballroom. The women giggled and waited hopefully to be chosen to dance with the prince.

Silence. Everyone was waiting for the prince to choose his bride, the future queen. His eyes rested on mine and my heart skipped a beat. He walked over to the table where I sat and asked a question that the other girls waited to hear: “Do you want to dance?” I struggled to say something, but nothing came out of my mouth. I nodded. The prince took my heart and swept me to the center of the ball room floor. The feeling of excitement, romance and jealousy filled the room as me and the prince danced. He place a hand on my waist and I placed on hand on his left shoulder and one hand in his right hand. We danced the night away.

The ball room filled with colors as the other men asked women to dance. Different hues danced around the ball room. Bloody reds, sparkling blues and bright yellows. Out of all the colors and ball gowns, the prince and I stood out. My dress was the brightest blue and my black hair was unraveled from my tight bun I had out it up earlier. His suit was black and he was handsome. His hair was a luscious black and he dazzled me with his smile while I dazzled him with my laughter as we danced. Everything was revolved around us at that moment. Everyone was staring at us and the king cheered silently.

And after so many years we were together again and one thing stood in our way. The vampire hunter.

Acheron stood outside of the house I was held captive within. He saw me, held out gunpoint and he growled. Acheron searched through a way in without being detected by the waiting vampire hunter.

I felt the gun against the side of my head. I looked at the vampire hunter. His face was held in a serious mood with a tint of fear shining in his brown eyes. Acheron slipped into the house through the unlocked back door and he walked quietly into the living house where I was held prisoner. The vampire hunter heard his footsteps and attacked. Acheron dodged the garlic bullets with his speed and knocked the gun out of the vampire hunter's hand with his strength. The vampire hunter's hand broke on impact with a awful crack of the bone snapped in two. The vampire hunter hunter cursed and tried to punch my dark prince with his good hand. Acheron dodged and kept fighting the vampire hunter. They were at total strength. I ran to the kitchen, free of the vampire hunter's gun, and grabbed the sharpest knife out of the knife drawer. I ran back to the living room to help Acheron. When the vampire hunter was still for one second, I stabbed him in the back. The vampire screamed in pain and fury and turned to face me. He lunged at me. I gasped and cleverly dove to the right, dodging the attack will my love went for the kill.

Acheron grasped the vampire hunter's neck and snapped it in two. The hunter's head bowed lifelessly on the broken neck, his mouth open with surprise and his dead eyes staring at me, lifeless and glassed over. The vampire hunter fell to the ground, dead.

Acheron pulled me into his arms and kissed me passionately. I looked deep into his gorgeous black eyes and I got lost looking into his dark and beautiful soul.

Are you alright?” My savior asked.

Yes”, I said, still in my trance. He kissed me again and I saw the memory of us, in are past life, dancing in the elegant ball of beautiful colors.

You are the only song I know.” Acheron whispered in my ear. I sighed as we stood before the dead body of the enemy, the vampire hunter that had kept us apart. We were silent as the night rolled on, lost in our memories and finally, together in the sweet darkness of our thoughts.
